There are many sites, and tips to help gamers find the right game, and navigate through each game. The following article focuses on the fun game, Hatchlings on Facebook.

Basics of Playing the Facebook Game, Hatchlings

Hatchlings is a fantastic game on Facebook. It is fun, and easy, and can be as involved as each user chooses. The basics of the game are fairly simple, Each player gets a Basket where random eggs are hidden. Also there is a personal space to hatch eggs that the player wants to keep. Hatchlings need to be fed eggs or they'll run away. Players can choose to feed the eggs they find to their Hatchlings. They can also choose to give to specific friends, or publish the egg as a Free for All on their profile. That's a quick way to give eggs to anyone on their friend list who may need that specific egg.

For the basic player, eggs can be found by going through friend's baskets. Players click on the eggs that they find in baskets, and then choose what to do with them. For more involved players, there are many ways to make the process go faster. Public baskets are the easiest way to quickly hunt eggs, the user doesn't have to be Facebook friends with each person to hunt in their basket. Many sites collect public baskets and share the links for people to hunt. Shari's public basket can be found here.

TIps on Hunting Eggs in the Fun Hatchlings Game

Hunting can go much quicker with the Super Basket Opener. It is a site that shows a green arrow, and when you click on the arrow, it will open up ten tabs of public baskets. To go through, users simply hit CTRL + TAB (the key with the horizontal arrows), and it will move to the next tab. Page Up and Page Down will easily show each basket's egg, and one click will catch the egg for gifting, or hatching.

Gamers can move to the next tab right after clicking on the eggs found, and so on through all ten tabs, and then go through each one again, closing out the egg tabs that aren't needed. To close out a tab quickly, a gamer can simply hit CTRL W. With a little practice the process can be streamlined, and players can move through many baskets very quickly.

Special Collections in Hatchlings, the Online Game

Each Hatchling round last about three months, and there are scores and rankings that competitive players can earn. There are over 500 Hatchlings eggs so far to collect. Many eggs are very common, and will show up all the time. Some eggs are harder to find, and will take quite a bit of hunting. Each week more eggs are put into circulation, and once in a while more rare eggs are retired. Retired eggs are bought in the Warehouse with shells that are earned by hunting and collecting the eggs. Some eggs can only be bought with Donor Perks, which can be earned by buying, or by doing special offers. Every day five donor perks are given to each player who clicks on the link.

There are many websites, and Facebook pages that can help a gamer collect Hatchling eggs. Some sites are focused on Free for Alls, and allow users to post Free For All eggs on their site. Checking these sites like Eggstatic FFA, and Egg Snoops FFA are an easy to check for eggs that are missing from a Hatchling player's collection. Hatchlings Field Guide is a wonderful site for the avid Hatchling player. It has checklists, and keeps up to date on Eggs in circulation, and in the Warehouse.

Keeping Hatchlings Happy after Hatching Them in Facebook Hatchlings

Each Hatchling has ten eggs that need to be filled. Every day, one egg is depleted, and when all ten eggs are empty, the Hatchling will run away. This is not a problem, it is easy to feed Hatchlings with eggs found in the baskets, or with a Burger egg, which refills all ten eggs at once. It is best to keep no more than 20 Hatchlings at a time, or it can be overwhelming trying to feed them all. A user must choose which Hatchlings to let go. The egg from which the Hatchling came will stay in the collection. the Pet Catcher can also catch runaway Hatchlings for a fee.

Many gamers bookmark a Burger egg and feed each Hatchling by hitting the Backspace button. This way the same Burger egg can be fed to the user's entire collection. To bookmark a Burger Egg, the gamer needs to buy the Burger in the Warehouse and get to the page that shows all the user's eggs, and says "Choose which pet to feed". Bookmarking that page will allow a user to keep the same Burger, feed their Hatchlings every time it's needed.

Hatchlings is a game that can occupy long winter months, and fill the urge to collect in an economy that makes it hard to collect tangible items. It can be a way to meet new Facebook friends, and socialize with other games online. With help from other gamers, and tips from Hatchlings FAQ and sites like this, Hatchlings can become a favorite among Facebook games.
